Creating a Website

After we have written a business plan you will then create a website for your business using Microsoft Publisher or Adobe Dreamweaver. I will instruct the class on how to use Publisher but if you are comfortable with Dreamweaver feel free to use it. Here are some things to think about when creating your website....

1. Your website should be easy to navigate. Surfers should be able to reach any page on your website in 3 to 4 clicks.

2. Select your background and text colors wisely. If people cannot read the words on your website because they blend in with the background, they will not be on your site for very long.

3. NO SPELLING OR GRAMMAR ERRORS! This website represents you, so check and double check for these possible errors.

4. Make sure when someone looks at your homepage that they can easily see who you are, what products or services you offer, and how to contact you.
